These Event Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all events organised by A Mothers’ Community (“AMO”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and to all bookings made by participants (“Participant”, “you” or “your”).
By booking an AMO event, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms.
1.1. A booking becomes binding once the booking has been completed and payment has been successfully received by AMO, unless otherwise stated for a particular event.
1.2. The person making the booking must provide accurate and complete information, including contact details and any information specifically requested during the booking process.
1.3. A booking is generally valid for the person named in the booking confirmation. Where permitted under Section 4, the booking may be transferred to another eligible participant.
1.4. Event-specific information, including the date, time, location, price and services included, will be provided on the relevant event booking page and/or booking confirmation.
2.1. AMO events are community and social events intended to provide mothers and mothers-to-be with opportunities to connect, socialise and participate in activities.
2.2. Where an event has specific eligibility requirements, such as being pregnant or having a child within a particular age range, these requirements will be stated on the event booking page.
2.3. Participants are responsible for arriving on time and following reasonable instructions given by AMO, event staff, venues, facilitators or activity providers.
2.4. AMO reserves the right to refuse or end participation where a person behaves in a threatening, abusive, discriminatory, disruptive or otherwise inappropriate manner, or where their behaviour creates a safety concern for themselves or others. In such circumstances, no refund will generally be provided, without prejudice to any mandatory statutory rights.
3.1. The applicable event price will be displayed during the booking process.
3.2. Unless otherwise stated, payment must be made in full at the time of booking.
3.3. The booking confirmation sent by email constitutes confirmation of the booking and should be retained by the Participant.
3.4. Any additional purchases or services not expressly included in the event price are the responsibility of the Participant.
Tickets and event bookings are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly provided for in these Terms.
Because AMO events are planned and paid for in advance and often involve limited spaces, catering, venues and external suppliers, we are generally unable to provide refunds where a Participant is unable to attend.
Instead of cancelling, a Participant may request to transfer their booking to another eligible person.
The transfer:
The original Participant remains responsible for ensuring that the replacement Participant receives all relevant event information.
If a Participant does not attend the event (“no-show”), the booking remains non-refundable and cannot normally be transferred after the event has started.
5.1. AMO reserves the right to cancel, postpone, relocate or reasonably modify an event where this is necessary due to circumstances outside AMO’s reasonable control, including but not limited to:
5.2. If AMO cancels an event and does not offer a suitable alternative date or replacement event, Participants will receive a refund of the amount paid for the affected event, unless otherwise required or permitted by applicable law.
5.3. Where an event is postponed or relocated, AMO will inform Participants as soon as reasonably possible and will provide details of the alternative arrangements.
5.4. AMO is not responsible for additional costs incurred by Participants as a result of an event cancellation, postponement or relocation, such as travel, accommodation, childcare or other personal expenses, except where AMO is legally required to compensate such costs.
6.1. Participation in AMO events is voluntary. Participants are responsible for taking reasonable care of themselves and their belongings during the event.
6.2. AMO is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless AMO is legally responsible for such loss or damage.
6.3. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and otherwise able to participate safely in any activities offered at an event.
6.4. Where an event involves physical activity, movement, exercise, yoga, outdoor activities or similar activities, Participants should participate only to the extent that they feel comfortable and capable of doing so.
6.5. Participants must inform AMO in advance of any relevant dietary requirements, allergies or other information specifically requested by AMO. AMO will make reasonable efforts to communicate relevant information to venues and catering providers but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment unless expressly stated.
6.6. Participants remain responsible for their children at all times unless AMO has expressly agreed in writing to provide childcare or supervision.
6.7. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits AMO’s liability for death or personal injury caused by AMO’s negligence, liability arising from intentional or grossly negligent conduct, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under German law.
6.8. To the extent legally permitted, AMO shall only be liable for other losses caused by ordinary negligence where AMO has breached an obligation that is essential to the proper performance of the contract. In such cases, liability shall be limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract.
7.1. Unless an event is expressly advertised as providing childcare, AMO does not provide childcare or supervision.
7.2. Parents and guardians remain responsible for the supervision, safety and behaviour of their children throughout the event.
7.3. Participants must ensure that their children do not interfere with activities, equipment, staff, venues or other participants.
7.4. AMO reserves the right to ask a Participant to leave an event if their child’s behaviour creates a serious safety risk or significant disruption.
AMO may take photographs and/or videos during events for documentation and promotional purposes.
Where photography or filming may include identifiable images of you, AMO will seek your consent separately from acceptance of these Terms.
Your decision to refuse consent to promotional photography will not affect your ability to attend an event.
Where you have provided valid consent, AMO may use your image in connection with AMO’s community, marketing and promotional activities, including:
You may withdraw your consent for future use of your image at any time by contacting AMO at amotherscommunity@gmail.com.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
Where reasonably possible, AMO will stop using your image in future promotional materials following withdrawal. Withdrawal cannot necessarily result in the removal of materials that have already been printed, distributed or shared by third parties.
AMO may take general photographs of an event where individuals are not the main focus and may appear incidentally in the background. AMO will make reasonable efforts to respect individuals who have indicated that they do not wish to appear in promotional photography.
9.1. AMO processes personal data provided during booking and participation in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/DSGVO) and applicable German data protection law.
9.2. Personal data may be processed where necessary to:
9.3. AMO will only process personal data for marketing purposes where there is an appropriate legal basis, such as consent where required.
9.4. Personal data may be shared with service providers where necessary to organise and provide the event, such as venues, catering providers, booking/payment providers, event facilitators and technical service providers. AMO will only share information that is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
9.5. Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose and/or to comply with applicable legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
9.6. Further information about how AMO collects, uses, stores and protects personal data, as well as information about Participants’ rights under the GDPR, is available in AMO’s Privacy Policy on the AMO website. https://amotherscommunity.com/datenschutzerkl%C3%A4rung
10.1. Booking an event does not automatically mean that you have consented to receive marketing communications.
10.2. Where required, AMO will obtain separate consent for marketing emails, newsletters or other promotional communications.
10.3. Participants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the relevant unsubscribe function or by contacting AMO.
11.1. Some AMO events may take place at third-party venues or involve independent facilitators, instructors, caterers or other service providers.
11.2. Participants may be required to comply with reasonable rules and policies of the relevant venue or service provider.
11.3. Where a third-party provider is independently responsible for a service, AMO is not responsible for matters that are solely within that provider’s responsibility, except where AMO is legally responsible.
12.1. Where alcoholic beverages are available at an event, Participants are responsible for consuming alcohol responsibly and in accordance with applicable law.
12.2. Participants who are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, have allergies, intolerances or other dietary restrictions are responsible for making appropriate personal choices.
12.3. Participants should inform AMO of relevant allergies or dietary requirements during booking or as soon as they become known.
12.4. AMO will make reasonable efforts to accommodate notified dietary requirements but cannot guarantee that food prepared or served at an event is completely free from allergens or cross-contamination unless expressly confirmed.
13.1. AMO’s name, logo, branding, written materials, photographs, graphics, guides and other original content remain the property of AMO or its respective rights holders.
13.2. Materials provided to Participants as part of an event are intended for personal use only and may not be reproduced, sold, commercially distributed or used for another business without prior written permission.

For fixed-date leisure events, the statutory right of withdrawal may be excluded under Section 312g(2) No. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB).
These Terms and the contractual relationship between AMO and the Participant shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable to the Participant.
Where the Participant is a consumer, mandatory statutory rules concerning jurisdiction and consumer protection remain unaffected.
If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced, to the extent legally permitted, by a valid provision that most closely reflects the intended purpose of the original provision.
